Monday 26th April 2021

Woke around 7.30am, John brought me a cup of tea to kick start the system.

My Fit Track watch tells me I had 2 hours 43 minutes deep sleep and 4 hours 12 minutes light sleep. On waking I feel fabulous, maybe that is because i caught a friend in Mexico before sleep came for this country, maybe it's because the sun is so bright today. It does not matter, today is the first day of the rest of my life. I stand on the scales, I really do not like this part but that will change as it becomes my favourite part of the day. 266 pounds and the blue tooth part is not connecting so all I know is my previous measurements. Believe me when I say there is not reason for them to change so I am going to take them as the starting blocks.

The visit today was just perfect. The Village reminds me a lot of the old Casablanca's from the minute you walk in. It seems to be exactly what I have been looking for, the addition of the tech is just the icing on the cake. So, my focus is on weights. Cardio will be included (walking to and from work is 10K steps a day to start with). Why is this? well I will go into more detail as time goes along but for now looking at the site WebMD a good exercise program should include Aerobic exercise, strength training and stretching. The first I have covered with walking and swimming. The second is what the gym is for, and the third will be incorporated in the cool down. The personal trainer is ensuring the 'talk test' is being covered by ensuring I exercise and talk at the same time.

Today we covered

Six minutes on the bike at three different settings

  1. One high knee per side

  2. Two lunges per side

  3. Chest press three lifts

  4. Lateral raises four lifts

  5. Over head raises five lifts

  6. Half rows with weight six lifts

  7. Sumo wide squat with weight seven repeats

  8. Front to side on a level with shoulders eighth repeats.

Two laps of the pool.

  • Morning 1 - 2137 steps

  • Morning 2 - 2284 steps

  • Afternoon 1 - 2244 steps

Total so far 8476 steps
