Final Thoughts

To summarise: Teaching in 2020 is more complicated than when I began teaching in 1991; the additional complexity provides a better service for the client.

Additional considerations which extend beyond the remit of this essay include

• Teaching from a rental property.

• Teaching from home (invalidation of home insurance)

• Teaching from home that requires council permission

• Use of an acoustic instrument and duration of use within building regulations

• Parking restrictions

Teaching remains one of the most fulfilling occupations. Whilst the contents of this essay indicate a complicated journey ahead it is worth it and ensures a safe and fulfilling educational journey for all involved.
